Kanto Lampo Waterfall
Bali
About
Unlike Bali's more famous waterfalls that require long treks through jungle, Kanto Lampo is remarkably accessible — just 10 minutes from Gianyar town and a short walk from the road. The waterfall forms a wide curtain of water that falls over a series of textured black volcanic rock shelves, creating natural steps and pools.
The most striking feature is that visitors can stand directly behind the water curtain on a rock ledge — the effect is dramatic and produces some of Bali's best waterfall photography. The surrounding rocks are slippery, so waterproof sandals or bare feet are advised. Entry fee is around 15,000 IDR (approximately $1 USD). Visit mid-morning on a weekday to avoid the worst crowds. Water volume is highest during the rainy season (November-March).
